A story began

The story of Argo begins all the way back to 1977, when Thodoris Kousathanas created one of the first hotels in Platis Gialos. Thanasis Kousathanas, his son and current owner - as well as manager - of the hotel actually grew up inside the hotel, giving a new sense to the phrase “hospitality runs in his veins”. The hotel has gone through major renovations in order to provide maximum comfort and be up to date with travellers’ current needs, while preserving the traditional Cycladic features in its architecture.

Just 100 meters from the popular beach of Platis Gialos, Argo Hotel welcomes you in a unique holiday setting, where everyone feels at home within its friendly ambiance. The location of the hotel could not be more ideal, as there is a variety of restaurants to choose from on the beach of Platys Gialos, the bus stop to Mykonos Town is just 50 meters away a mini market, and a bakery are located just outside the hotel. From the beach of Platis Gialos, it is very easy to venture to other popular beaches around the island using the taxi boats.

I highly recommend Argo for your stay in Mykonos. The staff were all so friendly & helpful. Our room was spacious & clean with a great outside patio area. Breakfast was great. The beach is a 2 minute walk. We loved our stay & will most definitely come back.

This was my second time staying at the Argo. An exceptional hotel with amazing staff and all the facilities you need for a great trip to Mykonos, breakfast included. The hotel restaurant is a must and the beach is only a 2 minute walk down the street. The bus stop is at your front door to take you into town. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Mykonos.

Location. Store right across the street for cheap liquor or snacks. Bus passes purchased at store and bus stop a minute walk. Bus takes you to town in 10 minutes. 10 minutes from airport in other direction. Kindness and competence of staff superb. Very cleanrooms. Breakfast great. Lots of food variety. Can’t say enough about this place. Very nice. Top notch. They also have a restaurant on the beach owned by this hotel. Food superb. You get a 10% discount if you are staying at the Argo hotel. Two pools to use. Lots of lounge chairs. Friendly staff. Always willing to assist.

Great staff, great rooms close from the swimming, some music but not too loud, very kids friendly, all equipment we needed for a family of 5 including a baby.

We went to Mykonos for our friends 40th Birthday and had such an amazing trip. The hotel was perfect, very clean, comfortable and all the staff our lovely. Great location too, right near the beach and a local shop directly outside the hotel.
