In order to have an actual taste of Mykonos, one has to experience the local flavours at “Avli tou Thodori” restaurant, situated right on the sand of Platis Gialos beach. Created in 1950 by Thodoris Kousathanas, it was the first restaurant in the area. The history continues through his son, Thanassis Kousathanas, who has updated the restaurant with a Cycladic chic ambiance, while preserving the traditional Greek recipes and staying true to the original philosophy of an honest and friendly service.
The extensive menu of the restaurant includes a variety of local flavours, from fresh seafood and meat to salads and pasta, as well as some international snacks like pizza. There are comfortable sun beds right in front of “Avli tou Thodori”, where refreshments and beach snacks are also served.
